We are taught that hard work should come with a silent thank you, but this mentality is actually the #1 killer of your foundational shift. In this 5-minute deep dive, we break down:
It's about The Control Delusion which is the concept that if we work hard enough we believe we will succeed. For women, and through the lens of intersectionality, we see that there will be more obstacles, but we believe that eventually we will get there. However, can this be true when we are working within systems that were not built for us and are at times actively hostile towards our success? Age UK have found that the majority of elder people living in poverty in the UK are women (estimated at around 70%). Studies have also shown that women are more likely to be in lower-paid work, such as the caring professions, less likely to have savings to fall back on, and more likely to be in debt. The ILO estimates that unpaid work by women constitutes around 9% of global GDP which is about $11 trillion US dollars. In the article I share my own perspective and ideas on what is going on at a deeper level, but also most importantly, what we can actually do about it. I would love to know if any of this resonates with you? Do you have similar of very different experiences? To read the full article click the Brainz logo:

In this groundbreaking guide, you’ll learn how to stop burning out and use your authenticity as your greatest asset. Drawing on years of experience, I’ll show you how to identify the hidden blocks and attacks designed to push you off track. You'll gain the knowledge and skills to live on your own terms, and get clear on your relationships, wealth, health, and purpose. This is where activism, self-care, and authentic living come together. This is your guide to a life without regret, filled with courage, purpose, and peace.
